ZANETA HAHN PURCHASES LINCOLN STUDIO
KeelanMusik is pleased to announce the May 20, 2010 sale of the Lincoln, NE portion of our business to trusted friend & teacher, Zaneta Hahn! Zaneta has been a piano & keyboard instructor with KeelanMusik for the past two years. During that time, she has continued to take on more responsibility, adding Celebration Singers, first as Instructor & then as Director, & then becoming an Instructor of Music Makers at the Keyboard. You've heard of wearing three hats...Zaneta now wears three shirts: Celebration Singers, Music Makers at the Keyboard, & Private Piano! She will be continuing to offer all of these programs through her own studio:

Lincoln's Youth Symphony has announced their new members for the upcoming 2010-2011 season!
Two KeelanMusik students were accepted: Morgan Mallum, flute, & Marcus Mallum, percussion. Morgan is a sophomore & Marcus a freshman at Lincoln East High School. They join their brother, Monroe, who was accepted into the audition-only orchestra last year. Morgan & Marcus have been piano students of Mary Keelan for nine & eight years, respectively, & have actually been with the studio (as Kindermusik students) since 18 months of age.
Congratulations to both of you!
Music and merriment filled Christ Lutheran Church in Lincoln on December 6th, 2009, as children performed in the fourth annual 'Talents with a Purpose'. This year's talents ranged from singing to drumming to playing the glockenspiel. KeelanMusik students Hannah and Haleigh Fitzsimmons, both 9 years old, created the talent show, now in its fourth year, as a way for children to give back to the community. Other KeelanMusik students performing include Sydney Nguyen, Tiana Le, Caroline Nebel & Greta Nebel on piano, keyboard, bells, & violin.
Proceeds from the show went to the American Red Cross and People's City Mission.
Hannah & Haleigh, you are a blessing!

Congratulations also to our other Festival participants, each of whom placed high: Rachel Weber, Monroe Mallum, Madison Mallum & Morgan Mallum!
You all worked hard & we are proud of you!

Summer, 2009: KeelanMusik is pleased to announce that Krista Burbach, valued Kindermusik Director/Instructor with KeelanMusik for the past two & a half years, purchased the Kindermusik portion of KeelanMusik! Krista will be offering the best early childhood music curriculum available to young children through her own studio:
Kindermusik with Krista
KeelanMusik and Kindermusik with Krista will continue to work together toward the purpose of helping families to experience the joy of music excellence!

On December 19, 2009 two of our students gave a recital at Haven Manor, an assisted living home in Lincoln. Erin Makinson & Dana Clements, both age 9, decided they wanted to share some music with people who may not be able to get out & enjoy a holiday concert otherwise. They personally planned the recital, with the help of their parents. Haven Manor was chosen because Erin’s great-great-aunt Grace (who is 104) lives there.
Grace was thrilled to find out the girls would be coming. She eagerly told the other residents & looked forward to the day of the recital. At the recital, the girls each played a variety of pieces, including holiday music, classical music, duets & pieces they had composed themselves.
There were lots of smiles from the residents during & after the recital. The music of these two young girls brightened their spirits & was truly a special gift!
